I have been confronted with translation issues since my tender childhood. I grew in a multi-lingual environment where French, Algerian Arabic, Berber and Standard Arabic where used all around. As my parents, Berber originally, got French education , they used French as native language. I grew with French as native language and Berber (which I learnt quite later) as a mysterious language my parents used only to hold conversations they did not want my sisters and me to hear. Outdoors, Algerian Arabic prevailed and I learnt it quickly as soon as I started school along with Standard Arabic. At school, French was second language.
I have always known that I will be translator/interpreter. For me it is more that a job, it is passion.
I did translation and interpreting studies at university and got my Bachelor degree in 2003 from the University of Algiers. I got my first job as a certified interpreter the same year. I decided to undertake postgrad studies and specialize in technical translation. I chose energy as a specialty and had an extensive training at the Algerian Ministry of Oil and Mines. I got my MA in 2007 with a large experience in oil industry. Afterwards, I got involved in a commerce course at the University of Montpellier with the idea of extending my translation specialization. It was a very rich experience and although I did not finish my training, that course opened new horizons for me. I worked on contracts translation mainly but got also an experience in the translation of other business documents (letters, CVs, companies ‘profiles..)
Because of my enrolment in the master degree, I was granted 6 hours/week teaching at the University where I have been teaching consecutive interpreting and translation.
Currently, I am preparing a PhD degree in Translation Studies and work as a free lance translator/interpreter. I am specialized in Oil industries, electricity, engineering works, business and economics. I offer my clients the best professional translation and interpreting services in the following languages pairs:
English / French

I started recently movies translation, subtitling mainly, and I love it so much.
